Moldova negotiates access of animal origin products to market of Qatar

Moldova is negotiating with Qatari authorities the veterinary and sanitary conditions for exporting products of animal origin, including the coordination of the required certificates. The discussions today took place between representatives of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) and the competent authorities of the State of Qatar.

According to ANSA, one of the agreements reached during the meeting concerns initiating consultations on the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding between the agency and Qatar’s future General Authority for Food Safety.

“The document is expected to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two sides and help create the conditions necessary for Moldovan exporters to access the Qatari market,” the Agency said.

The discussions are part of ANSA’s efforts to diversify export markets and facilitate access for domestic products to new international markets.

The meeting was organized with the support of Moldova’s Embassy in the State of Qatar.
