Moldova's exports exceed 63 billion lei in first ten months of 2026; imports reach 176 billion lei

The total value of goods exported exceeded 63 billion lei during the first ten months of this year. At the same time, the total value of imported goods amounted to approximately 176 billion lei. The data were presented today by the Customs Service.

According to the institution, wires and cables, sunflower seeds, wheat, rapeseeds, and grape wines rank among the top five categories of goods by export value. Meanwhile, oil products, natural gas, cars, electricity and medicines rank among the top five categories of goods by import value.

The customs authority emphasized that it would continue to facilitate legitimate trade flows and support exports of domestic products by implementing modern customs procedures.

One of the measures implemented is the automated validation of the export customs declaration. The procedure allows economic operators to submit declarations electronically, while the estimated customs clearance time is approximately 15 minutes, without the physical intervention of a customs official.

The institution says that the digitalization of customs processes aims to simplify formalities for the business community and improve the efficiency of export operations.
