Mentoring Group for Moldova to be set up at level of EU agriculture ministers
Chisinau, March 23 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) will set up a mentoring group at the level of agriculture ministers in the European Union. Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea, the MAIA head approached the initiative at an online meeting with Moldovan ambassadors to the EU member states.
"The objective of the mentoring group will be to facilitate the transfer of expertise, to consult and support the MAIA in the steps related to EU integration and the harmonization of legislation on the agricultural segment. Given that we want to take over the successful models recorded by our colleagues in the EU and avoid their mistakes in the pre-accession to the European community, we are aware of the need to have partners, friends and mentors by our side", said Bolea.
According to the official, the mentoring group could also take lobbying activities at the level of European structures, in order to convey the initiatives and messages of the authorities in our country.
The Republic of Moldova aims to launch an extensive support program EU4Agriculture for Moldova by 2025.
