
USA to grant Moldova another 19.5 million dollars
Chisinau, Nov. 23 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova will benefit from non-refundable financial assistance worth 19.5 million euros, additionally granted by the United States of America. A draft law providing for the ratification of the 14th Amendment to the development objective assistance Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the US Government was approved today by members of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration.
The additional financing of 19.5 million euros will be used to strengthen our country's energy security, reduce dependence on the Russian Federation by connecting key elements with European systems, as well as diversifying natural gas supply and increasing energy efficiency.
After granting the additional financing, the Republic of Moldova will benefit, in total, from non-reimbursable assistance of 172,728,297 dollars.
