VIDEO // Deputy PM says Moldova shows small state can be great example of resilience, innovation
The digital security is becoming a fundamental pillar of national security and economic development, in a global context marked by increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Osmochescu mas made statements to this effect, at the second edition of CyberCon Moldova, organized in Chisinau on November 5.
The official emphasized that Moldova was strengthening its institutions, developing its competencies and aligning its legislative framework with European standards, proving that a small state can be a great example of resilience and innovation.
“The digital resilience of Moldova is no longer just a strategic objective, but a reality consolidated through action, cooperation and trust. In a global context marked by increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, we treat digital security not as a technical component, but as a fundamental pillar of national security and economic development. Our country is strengthening institutions, developing competencies and aligning the legislative framework with European standards, proving that a small state can be a great example of resilience and innovation. CYBERCON 2025 reaffirms our commitment to building a safe, open and competitive digital ecosystem, where trust becomes the most valuable capital,” said the deputy PM.
The second edition of CyberCon Moldova brought together local and international specialists, representatives of public institutions, the academic environment and development partners, in order to discuss concrete solutions for reducing the skills deficit in the field of cybersecurity.
The event shows the achievements, challenges and future directions of Cybercor, strengthening its role as a national center of excellence and collaboration in the field of cybersecurity.
This year's edition coincides with the first anniversary of Cybercor, marking one year of activity during which the institute has trained thousands of specialists from public administration, the academic environment and the private sector.
