
Diplomatic dialogue between Chisinau and Berlin: Moldovan deputy PM says Germany's support helps Moldova move with more confidence to EU
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov has paid an official visit to Berlin, in a moment of intensified bilateral relations between Moldova and Germany. The Moldovan official she met with Germany's State Minister for European Affairs Gunther Krichbaum.
During the meeting in Berlin, Cristina Gherasimov discussed Moldova’s progress on the path of European integration, the reform efforts made nationally and the priorities for the upcoming period.
"We talked about the efforts we are making at home and the developments on our European agenda, as well as the priorities for the next period," said the deputy prime minister.
The official highlighted the constant and solid support provided by Germany, both at the political level and through technical and financial assistance.
"Germany is a reliable partner for Moldova and the support of the German government helps us move more confidently and better prepared on the road to the EU. Our citizens feel this support in the changes that make their lives better every day, from lower invoices to infrastructure projects that develop communities," said Cristina Gherasimov.
The visit by Cristina Gherasimov coincided with the presence in Chisinau of German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul, a sign of close cooperation and sustained dialogue between the two capitals.
