
11th Legislature Parliament adopted over 1,500 normative acts in four years of activity
The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, the 11th Legislature, concluded mandate after four years of activity, holding 172 plenary sessions with a total duration of about 1,100 hours.
According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, between July 26, 2021 - July 31, 2025, the MPs adopted 1,589 normative acts, of which 1,149 were laws, including two constitutional laws and 217 framework laws. Additionally, 259 international agreements were ratified and 26 treaties were denounced.
During the same period, the Parliament operated in ordinary sessions (160 sessions), extraordinary (11 sessions), and one special session. Of the total 440 approved resolutions, 173 concerned appointments, dismissals, or resignations from public positions.
Throughout the legislature, 1,967 draft normative acts entered the legislative procedure, of which 80% were adopted. Currently, 180 initiatives are under examination, 182 were withdrawn or returned, 24 were rejected, and five did not enter the procedure at all.
Another 12 normative acts were sent for re-examination, and 10 of them were subsequently adopted.
The Parliament's mandate began on the election day, July 11, 2021, and ended at the expiration of the four years. Until the legal assembly of the new legislature, the Parliament continues to perform representation, control, and internal organization functions.
