Ministry of Finance to appoint new Secretary of State
The Ministry of Finance will appoint a new Secretary of State. The position will be filled by Corina Alexa. The decision was approved today by the Government.
Corina Alexa holds a degree in economic sciences and has a master's degree in public finance and taxation. She has been working in the Ministry of Finance since 2009.
"Corina Alexa has actively participated in the development of the legislative framework in the fiscal and customs field, in the process of negotiating double taxation avoidance agreements with other states, as well as in harmonizing legislation in the field with the European regulatory framework," stated Victoria Belous, Minister of Finance, at the Government meeting.
Also today, the Government approved the termination of Alexandru Coica's mandate as a member of the Integrity Council, based on his resignation request. At the same time, Andrei Cebotari was appointed as a member of the Integrity Council for a term of five years. "Andrei Cebotari will contribute to ensuring the transparency of the National Integrity Agency's activities by monitoring the institution and assessing compliance with integrity norms," stated Ana Calinici, Secretary of State of the Government.
