Moldovan citizens to be able to travel visa-free to United Arab Emirates
The Republic of Moldova and the United Arab Emirates might abolish the visa regime for ordinary passport holders. A memorandum of understanding in this regard is to be signed during a working visit to Abu Dhabi by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, at the invitation of his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agenda of the discussions includes strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations, expanding trade exchanges, attracting investments, cooperation in strategic areas, as well as topics of regional and international interest.
Additionally, the official will meet with representatives of the airline Air Arabia, one of the major low-cost operators in the region, in the context of potential expansions of air connectivity between the two countries.
The visit takes place in the context of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the United Arab Emirates this year.
