In his speech, the official highlighted that, despite a complex regional security environment, Moldova had strengthened its ability to manage crises and respond to hybrid threats, including cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns.

“Although the security situation remains complex, our ability to address challenges and reduce vulnerabilities is continuously growing. We appreciate the role of European support in developing national institutions and protecting critical infrastructure. We want our country to become stronger, more resilient and a credible partner, capable of contributing to the security of the whole of Europe by the time it joins the European Union,” Mihai Popsoi said.

The minister also welcomed the progress made in the accession negotiations, particularly within Cluster VI, External Relations, coordinated by the Foreign Affairs Ministry. At the same time, he reiterated the authorities’ commitment to continuing reforms and aligning with the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy.
