
Nick Pietrowicz - new Chargé d'Affaires of U.S. Embassy in Chisinau
Diplomat Nick Pietrowicz is new Chargé d'Affaires of the United States of America's Embassy in Chisinau.
The diplomatic mission made the statement on 4 August, after his predecessor, Kevin Covert, said he is returning to the USA after a mission that began on 14 July 2025.
Nick Pietrowicz is a special agent of the Diplomatic Security Service, with previous missions in Port au Prince, Kabul, N’Djamena, Luanda, Canberra and Sarajevo.
Between 2008 and 2011, the diplomat served at the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau as a regional security officer. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Temple University School of Law. Nick Pietrowicz has studied French, Portuguese, Russian, Serbo-Croatian and Romanian.
