President's message of support for entrepreneurs
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu sent a message of gratitude and support to Moldovan entrepreneurs on Entrepreneurs' Day, highlighting their essential role in the country's economic development.
"Day by day, our entrepreneurs start with ideas and turn them into businesses that add value to communities. They create jobs, pay salaries, and instill the confidence that success is possible at home," declared the head of state.
Maia Sandu emphasized that, after years of efforts and challenges, the Republic of Moldova is now on the verge of accessing the single market of the European Union - the largest market in the world.
"The door is wide open, and we are ready to step in with confidence," said the President.
In her message, Maia Sandu reaffirmed her commitment to support entrepreneurs on the European path:
"I promised them that I will stay by their side and do everything in my power to erase the border between Moldova and the European Union."
Entrepreneurs' Day is marked annually to celebrate the contribution of the business environment to the economic progress of the Republic of Moldova. In the context of the European integration process, authorities rely on the dynamism and creativity of entrepreneurs to seize new opportunities and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
The event dedicated to Entrepreneurs' Day brought together over 300 entrepreneurs from across the country. 105 entrepreneurs were designated as grant beneficiaries by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA).
