Moldovan President at "La Nistru la Mărgioară" Festival

On the eve of the National Costume Day, President Maia Sandu attended "La Nistru la Mărgioară" Festival, held in the locality of Șerpeni, where she delivered a message of appreciation for those who preserve and promote national traditions.

The head of state highlighted that folklore, traditional costumes, and inherited customs are essential elements that unite people and remind them of who they are and where they come from:

"It was a beautiful celebration, with people from various regions of Moldova, coming to sing, dance, and proudly wear their traditional costumes. Tradition, folklore, and love for our nation keep us united."

The President emphasized that folklore is not just a memory of the past but a bridge between generations and a living expression of our identity. "I thank those who carry this treasure forward, with care, passion, and respect for their roots," declared Maia Sandu.

"La Nistru la Mărgioară" Festival brought together performers, folklore ensembles, and artisans from across the country, offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy authentic Moldovan music, dances, and traditions. The event was organized in the context of the celebration dedicated to traditional costumes—a symbol of cultural identity and national heritage.
