
As many as 279 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 1 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,284 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 279 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eight out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 376,434 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 6 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 physicians, 1 medical assistant and 2 auxiliary staff employees).
As many as 518 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 62 are in extremely serious condition and 13 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.
In the context, 1,873 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 12,223 are under supervision at home.
Another 299 people have been treated. As many as 362,728 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 9 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 10,284 people have died of coronavirus in all.
