Councillor of Chisinau Municipal Council found guilty, sanctioned for abuse of power
Chisinau, 27 September /MOLDPRES/ - A councilor of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) has been found guilty for abuse of power in the file on zonal urban plans.
Today, the Court of Appeal pronounced a final and irrevocable ruling and established a sanction as fine worth 3,000 lei (150 euros) and deprivation of the right of exercising the position of councilor in CMC for a period of eight months.
The National Anticorruption Centre (CNA) found out that 33 municipal councilors from the Chisinau Municipal Council had proved abuse of power when they voted six zonal urban plans in late 2022.
