Localities affected by bad weather continue to receive state aid
Chisinau, Aug. 8 /MOLDPRES/- Today five special vehicles of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations /IGSU/ and six special vehicles of the Ministry of Defense transported 3565 slate sheets to Edineț and Drochia districts, affected by bad weather.
According to the IGSU, so far 29,830 slate sheets, 401.54 m3 of timber and 900 m2 of metal tiles have been delivered to the districts of Edineț, Dondușeni, Râșcani, Drochia, Hâncești and Soroca.
Construction materials are gradually being supplied to the households of people who need support to carry out repair work on houses, roofs and other buildings. The goods are delivered to localities, and to people's homes by rescuers, firefighters, police, as well as the National Army employees.
According to the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations of July 28, 2023, the Government provides aid as construction materials for the 74 localities in six districts of the country that have been affected by the bad weather.
