Chisinau, Nov. 25 / MOLDPRES /- Number of cases of COVID-19 infection among children has increased by almost 3% last week. The number of illnesses among pregnant women has also increased by 37 percent.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, on 15 -21 November 2021, 5,391 cases of COVID-19 were registered, of which 2,462 in the Transnistrian region.
"Even though the number of diseases is decreasing, the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus remains high, so we must be vigilant. We are again urging the population to get vaccinated, because immunization against SARS-CoV-2 is the safest and most effective way to defeat the pandemic. It is also important to continue to comply with public health measures: wearing a protective mask indoors, washing hands regularly, maintaining a social distance of at least 1.5 meters. Fighting the pandemic is our common responsibility, not only of the medical system ", Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health Svetlana Nicolaescu said.
According to official statistics, so far, the national coverage with a dose of anti-COVID serum is over 28%, a total of 1,591,492 doses being administered.
