Number of COVID-19 patients to exceed 100,000 in Chisinau
Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/- The number of coronavirus patients in Chisinau will exceed one hundred thousand this week.
The deputy head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Boris Gâlcă, said at today online meeting of the municipal services that this week the number of COVID-19 patients will exceed one hundred thousand. "Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, a number of 99,380 thousand patients has been registered, this week we will exceed the figure of one hundred thousand," said Gâlcă.
At the same time, the official noted that 1,324 patients are hospitalized in the municipal hospitals with the new coronavirus.
The number of those hospitalized in municipal hospitals is decreasing compared to 22 March when 1,360 patients with COVID-19 were registered.
