Passengers might buy train tickets for Romanian routes from Chisinau railroad station
Chisinau, 08 December /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan travellers might buy train tickets for Romanian routes from Chisinau railroad station. The subject was discussed by the General Director of the Moldovan Railroads (CFM), Iuria Topala, during a working meeting with the Director General of the Romanian Railroads (CFR) Calatori, Leon Barbulescu.
The heads of railroad institutions negotiated the possibilities of opening a RoTicket type ticket office, which would allow passengers to buy tickets in time to travel to Romania. Such a possibility could occur in spring of 2019. According to the leadership, the programme will be installed in one of box offices at Chisinau railroad station.
"It is a unique opportunity for our travellers to go safely and comfortably beyond the Prut. This step would mean a closer rapprochement to Romania and to our partners at CFR Calatori, with whom, over time, we managed to establish more than collegial relations," said CFM Director, Iurii Topala.
The parties also discussed the increase in number of low – cost tickets for route Chisinau – Bucharest. At present, they can be purchased from the stations in Chisinau and Bucharest at a price of €19. The Smart Friendship programme provides a total of 16 such tickets a day.
