Photo exhibition dedicated to traditional costume inaugurated at Moldova's Presidency
A photographic exhibition dedicated to the diversity of traditional costumes of Moldova has been inaugurated on the fence of the presidential institution, on the occasion of the Traditional Costume Day, marked annually on the last Sunday of June. The exhibition brings together pictures from various regions of the country and highlights the richness of the national cultural heritage.
The event is organized in cooperation with the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, with the support of Ms. Varvara Buzila – ethnographer, researcher, and university professor. Ms. Buzila has been recently awarded the Europa Nostra Prize 2025, at the Heritage Champions category, an international recognition for her outstanding contribution to the promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage of Moldova.
The exhibition is open to the general public and can be visited until July 31. Citizens are invited to discover the beauty of the traditional costume – a symbol of Moldova’s identity, tradition and national pride.
