President to visit Poland, Italy to strengthen Moldova's European path

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu will pay working visits to Poland and Italy, in the context of ongoing efforts to promote Moldova's European integration and strengthen bilateral relations with partner countries.

On 8 July, Maia Sandu will be in Warsaw to meet with President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The discussions will focus on Poland's support for Moldova's accession to the European Union, as well as bilateral cooperation in political, economic and security areas.

At the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, the head of state will participate in the annual conference of Polish ambassadors, and will deliver a speech on developments in Moldova, the expansion of the European Union, and the role of our country as a responsible and committed partner.

On July 9-13, Maia Sandu will be in Italy, where she will be received by her Italian counterpart, Sergio Mattarella. The two heads of state will discuss deepening Moldovan-Italian relations, economic cooperation, and support for the Moldovan community in Italy.

In Rome, the President will attend the Conference on reconstruction of Ukraine, hosted by Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
