Police conduct new searches in criminal case on illegal political party financing

INI officers, together with BPDS 'Fulger' police officers and PCCOCS prosecutors are currently conducting new searches in a criminal case on illegal political party financing and large-scale money laundering.

According to the Police, the actions are taking place simultaneously at multiple addresses in Chisinau, in order to establish the circumstances regarding the legality of the modification of the status and leaders of a political party, as well as the legality of the party's financing through intermediaries.

Among the individuals targeted in the investigation is a former party leader, who was also a minister in previous governments of the Republic of Moldova.
