VIDEO // National exercise for first time in Moldova: 3,200 pupils to test digital skills
About 3,200 pupils of the ninth and 12th forms on November 26 will participate in a national digital skills assessment exercise, organized for the first time by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), in partnership with the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation, reports MOLDPRES.
The assessment will take place at 74 educational institutions of Moldova and aims to verify the level of digital readiness of students, as well as to familiarize them with the format of a standardized assessment in this field.
“The participants will have the opportunity to test their digital skills in a structured way, and the results can be included in their academic records,” said Director of the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation Lilia Ivanov.
The certificate got following this exercise can be used for admission to lyceum or for the equivalence of related courses within university programs and other forms of education.
To ensure smooth testing, consultations for students and training sessions for teachers involved in the evaluation process are organized on November 19–24.
Authorities say that this exercise represents an important step in modernizing the educational system and adapting it to the digital skills requirements needed on the labour market.
