Moldovan soldiers to attend Romania's National Day parade

A contingent of Moldovan soldiers departed today for Bucharest to participate in a military parade scheduled for 1 December on Romania's National Day.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Moldovan detachment is composed of soldiers from the 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion "Blue Helmets" and the Flag-bearing Group, consisting of soldiers and sergeants of the Honor Guard Company. They will march in the Triumph Arch Square alongside Romanian soldiers and other foreign detachments present at the ceremony.

The Republic of Moldova has been participating in Romania's military parade since 2014.

On 1 December 2025, Bucharest will host the traditional national military parade organized to celebrate Romania's National Day.

According to Romania's Ministry of National Defense, the parade will host over 2,900 soldiers and specialists from defense and security structures. The parade will include approximately 220 technical means and 45 aircraft. About 240 soldiers from allied countries will also march, including detachments from France, Spain, the USA, Poland, the Republic of Moldova, and others.
