Sixteenth contingent of servicemen detached to Kosovo return to Moldova
Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - The 16th contingent of the National Army, detached to the KFOR peacekeeping operation, returned from Kosovo today.
At the ceremony, Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii congratulated those 40 peacekeepers and handed them distinctions and diplomas for the excellent performance and for the contribution to keeping peace. ‘’I urge you to share with the military of National Army units the experience learned from colleagues of other armies and thus contribute to the achievement of the goal of transforming the defence institution into a modern one, able to fulfill the constitutional missions,’’ Anatolie Nosatii said.
At the same time, at the ceremony, three National Army officers from the 15th Moldovan contingent, who were in Kosovo in 2021-2022, received the medal For Peace on behalf of the mission’s Italian Command.
