
Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended for today yellow ice code valid throughout the country.
According to meteorologists, precipitation as rain and sleet is expected in the country today, frost will form on large areas, and ice will remain on the roads.In the following days, air temperature of up to 12 degrees Celsius are expected in the country during the day, and 0 +5 degrees at night.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) warns people about the danger of snow falling from roofs and trees, as well as the risk of icicles forming.
According to SHS, in terms of heating time on 9 -11 February, the Hydrological Center forecasts the gradual destruction of ice formations. This means that the ice on the country's water basins will be fragile, and going out on it will be dangerous. IGSU requires increased attention from parents with minor children, as well as fishing enthusiasts.
