Kindergarten from Ungheni city of Moldova changes look due to foreign partners in late 2022
Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - A kindergarten from the western Ungheni city has fully changed its look in the end of this year, after the conditions were considerably improved there for those 155 children and 31 employees.
Due to the financial support provided by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) Moldova, an organization which helped Ukrainian refugees from the first days, the concerned kindergarten, where also 19 children of Ukrainian refugees in Ungheni were received, benefited from an ambitious project, the settlement’s city hall said.
According to the quoted source, in less than three months, the walls underwent thermal insulation and at present, it is much warmer in the kindergarten and the thermal energy can be saved.
The project was implemented through the ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) Association - a French non-governmental organization of international solidarity. The overall cost of the works was of 1 million 225,000 lei (over 61,000 euros).
The „Solnîșko” kindergarten is the fourth early education institution from the Ungheni city (out of seven existing ones) which underwent thermal insulation. The other kindergartens are planned to be thermally insulated in 2023. To this end, the Ungheni city hall works on the elaboration of projects and on identifying new sources to carry them out.
