
Parliament launches contest of poetry dedicated to well-known departed poet of Moldova
Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today launched an online poetry contest, dedicated to commemorating the 86th birthday anniversary of departed poet Grigore Vieru.
According to the organizers, people interested in poetry, young people from all over Moldova, pupils and students can participate in the contest. The works will be assessed by a special commission, whose members will evaluate the originality, creativity and the spirit of recital. During almost two weeks, as of 1 February till 10 February 2021, people interested will submit to parliament a video recording of 1-2 minutes at the most, in which they recite a poem by Grigore Vieru.
The most inspired three messages (first, second and third places) will be awarded prizes at two age categories (adults and children), which will collect most appreciations, commentaries and distributions on the Facebook page, after a preliminary evaluation of the message’s relevance and creativity. The contest’s winners will receive certificates of winner, as well as an invitation to participate in a fact-collecting visit to parliament. Also, the people will receive a set of supplies with the Moldovan parliament’s logo.
The contest is organized by the parliament and launched on the occasion of the 86th birthday anniversary of poet Grigore Vieru, who was born on 14 February 1935 and died on 18 January 2009.
