President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu paid a working visit to Brussels on 4 November. The official discussed with European officials the concrete steps for advancing our country's EU accession process.

The head of state met with President of the European Council Antonio Costa, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, as well as European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. The discussions focused on accelerating the political and technical processes necessary to achieve the goal of concluding negotiations by 2028.

Marta Kos handed Maia Sandu the Enlargement Report for the Republic of Moldova. The document shows that in the past 12 months, our country has made the most significant progress among all candidate countries across all chapters of the accession process. President Sandu welcomed the report's conclusions, stating: "Moldova has shown that even in the most challenging times, it delivers — and the European Union can rely on us. Our country deserves its place in the European family, where freedom is protected and people can live with confidence in tomorrow."

Maia Sandu also participated in the conference dedicated to EU enlargement organized by Euronews television, and emphasized the strategic importance of the process for the continent's security.

At the end of the visit, Maia Sandu attended an event dedicated to the Republic of Moldova, which gathered hundreds of officials and representatives of European institutions.
