Platform for dialogue, cooperation between Diaspora and Moldova created in Frankfurt
A platform for dialogue and cooperation between the Moldovan Diaspora and Moldova has been created in Frankfurt, Germany, at the Moldovan-German Convention held under the motto, Collaboration, Innovation, Involvement. The event brought together approximately 150 Moldovan citizens from more European countries and was meant to support the development of joint projects, the exchange of experience and strengthening ties with the country of origin.
The convention was attended by Ambassador of Moldova to Germany Aureliu Ciocoi and Consul General Mihail Capatina, who appreciated the initiative of the involved associations and reiterated the openness of diplomatic missions for continuous collaboration with the Diaspora. The officials emphasized the essential role of Diaspora citizens in the sustainable development of the country and in the process of joining the European Union.
The event included the presentation of government programmes dedicated to the Diaspora, panels on topics of culture, education, economy and entrepreneurship, as well as the exchange of experience among participants. The artistic programme was complemented by a craft fair and cultural moments performed by Moldovan artists living abroad, including a recital by violinist Daniela Nechit and a monologue by actress Natalia Glöckner. The convention was organized by the Deutsch-Moldauischer Verein Frankfurt Association, in partnership with Moldovan associations in Germany, within the Diaspora Engagement Hub Programme, with the support of Moldova’s government and represents an important step in strengthening the ties between the Diaspora and the country, through cooperation, professionalism and joint projects.
