Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatii, along with Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Moldova, H.E. Giuseppe Maria Perricone, laid flowers at the Monument of the Grieving Mother in Chisinau, in the context of celebrating the Italian Armed Forces Day.
The event was an opportunity for gratitude and reaffirmation of the strong collaboration between the two defense institutions, said Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatii:
“From joint participation in international missions to training activities and assistance projects, our partnership has evolved over time, being clear proof of friendship and firm commitment to European values, peace and regional stability.”
According to the Italian Embassy in Chisinau, this is the first time that this important celebration is held in Moldova.
“Our countries have jointly paid homage to the sacrifice and work of those who serve their country in uniform, renewing their common commitment to peace and security in Europe and the rest of the world,” reads the Italian Embassy's press release.
