
2,221 polling stations set up for 20 October elections
Chisinau, Sep 21 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced that 2,221 polling stations have been set up for the republican constitutional referendum and the presidential elections of October 20, 2024.
1,957 polling stations will be opened in the country, 30 polling stations for voters from localities on the left bank of the Dniester and 234 polling stations - for citizens from abroad.In the Chisinau constituency, including suburbs, voters will be expected to exercise their right to vote at 306 polling stations.
In order to check online which polling station they are assigned to, voters can go to https://verifica.cec.md, click on the "Find out where to vote" button, select their home address and they will find information about the polling station associated with their address.
Elections for President of Moldova will be held on October 20, 2024, the same day as the referendum in which citizens will be asked whether they support the country's accession to the European Union.
