Foreign minister in Tirana: EU integration - path of reforms and regional cooperation
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi participated in the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Summit, held in the capital of Albania, Tirana.
During the meeting, the official highlighted the importance of regional collaboration and the European trajectory of the countries in South-East Europe.
'European Union integration is not a final destination, but a continuous path of reforms, modernization, and mutual support,' said Popșoi.
He emphasized that moving closer to the EU brings tangible benefits such as stronger economic ties, expanded market access, and increased investments.
Popșoi also stressed the necessity of strengthening regional cooperation, noting that the Republic of Moldova cannot succeed alone.
'Only together can we build a more stable and prosperous South-East Europe,' he said.
He also discussed the security situation in the region, firmly condemning the Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine.
'The Republic of Moldova remains in solidarity with Ukraine and will continue to fully support the Ukrainian people,' Popșoi concluded.
