Gheorghe Budeanu appointed as new member of Supervisory and Development Board of Teleradio-Moldova Company

The parliament today appointed journalist Gheorghe Budeanu as a member of the Supervisory and Development Board of the Teleradio-Moldova Company.

Gheorghe Budeanu was nominated for this position by the 'Action and Solidarity Party' faction after the position became vacant following Sergiu Stanciu's resignation.

Gheorghe Budeanu is a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism of the Moldovan State University and has held various positions in several publications in the country over time. During 2012-2017, he coordinated the institutional communication at the National Institute of Justice and was in charge of editing the institution's scientific journal.

The journalist is the author of nine volumes of publicistic and fiction works; he was awarded numerous literary prizes and honors for his contributions to writing and journalism. Budeanu was decorated for his participation in the defense of the independence and integrity of Moldova.

The Supervisory and Development Board of the Teleradio-Moldova Company is made up of seven members, appointed for a single term of six years. Three of them are put forward by parliamentary factions, while four are nominated by civil society organizations.
