VIDEO // Moldovan President, Greek Prime Minister held press conference in Chișinău

President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis are holding a joint press conference following their meeting today in Chișinău.

 

The two officials discussed the deepening of Moldovan-Greek cooperation, Greece's support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova, economic dialogue, as well as the active role of the Moldovan diaspora in Greece.

Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis is paying a working visit to the Republic of Moldova today.

The Greek official has also had meetings with the leadership representatives from Chișinău within international gatherings. Moldovan-Greek cooperation was discussed on August 22, 2023, in Athens, during a summit of the Western Balkans, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova, organized and hosted by the Greek Prime Minister. President Maia Sandu, who participated in this meeting, invited Prime Minister Mitsotakis to visit Moldova and thanked Greek authorities for supporting Moldova's accession to the European Union.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis was last in the Republic of Moldova on September 16, 2024, and participated in the opening ceremony of the Greek Embassy in Chișinău.
