Speaker Igor Grosu on an official visit to Ireland met with representatives of the Moldovan community, entrepreneurs and students, appreciating their contribution to the positive image of the Republic of Moldova abroad.
Among the successes mentioned by Grosu are the brothers Sergiu and Lilian Munteanu, founders of Moldova Shop network, which includes 26 stores promoting traditional Moldovan products in Ireland.
Another example noted by the speaker is entrepreneur Mihai Mazilu, who founded one of the most innovative IT companies in Ireland. The software developed by his team is used by over 25,000 global clients and has been expanded to the Republic of Moldova. Additionally, he is the first Irish supplier of automatic aluminum gates and doors and along with his wife, owns an Italian-themed restaurant.
In discussions with Moldovan students in Dublin, Grosu highlighted positive changes in national education: investments in school infrastructure, support for students and teachers, as well as the digitalization of the system.
The evening concluded with a warm meeting with the diaspora, where topics such as European integration, the fight against Russian propaganda, and the development of the Republic of Moldova were addressed.
"Only united and in solidarity can we succeed in maintaining peace and our path to Europe," he said.
