As many as 839 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova
Chisinau, 31 October /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, 3351 tests were processed in the Republic of Moldova, being confirmed 839 cases of infection with the new coronavirus, two of which were imported. So far, 76,040 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), out of the total number of cases, 70 are medical workers: doctors - 20, nurses - 38, auxiliary staff - 12.
At the same time, 6015 people are being treated at home with mild forms of COVID-19, and 24 369 are under surveillance at home.
Another 592 people were treated and discharged. In total, 55,782 people were cured by COVID-19.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths caused by COVID-19, the number of deaths reaching 1785. Among the dead is a neurologist in the AMSA Department, within the Balti Clinical Hospital, aged 62 years. So far, 49 health workers have died from COVID-19 infection.
