
Framework agreement on loan for construction of Balti-based Regional Hospital signed in Moldova
Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Health Ministry and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) on 16 October signed a framework agreement on loan for the carrying out of the project, Construction of Balti Regional Hospital.
According to the Health Ministry, the document sees the providing of a loan worth 86 million euros on behalf of CEB to Moldova’s government.
The project provides for the construction of a regional hospital, of the tertiary level, with an overall number of 340 beds in hospitalization regime and 78 beds in ambulatory regime. The new hospital will allow the residents from north Moldova to have access to highly- advanced medical services.
The total cost of the project is estimated at 108 million euros; CEB’s financing accounts for 80.6 per cent and the rest of the money represents the contribution of Moldova’s government.
