
Owners of lands affected by construction of main aqueduct in central Moldova to be compensated
Chisinau, April 12 /MOLDPRES/- The Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center, as the implementer of the project Improving the water infrastructure in Central Moldova, funded by the German Federal Government through the KfW Development Bank, initiated yesterday a round of public consultations for the affected localities in during the construction of the drinking water main.
This comes as a result of the approval last year of the Law on declaration of the construction works of Chisinau-Străseni-Călărași main aqueduct as a public utility asset of national interest.
Attending the meeting at Sireți town hall were representatives of the local authorities from Sireți, Roșcani and Ghidighici, cadastral engineers, tax collectors, as well as owners of the lands that will be affected to a greater extent by the construction works of the main aqueduct.
Owners of affected land will be notified by letters sent by IPOT on the temporary expropriation procedure, the term and amount of compensation being calculated individually, according to national legislation, taking into account the provisions of the World Bank standards regarding the expropriation and insurance procedure of rewards-ESS5. Similar consultations are to be organized on April 25-28 in Străseni and Călărași, to include all 18 localities affected by the construction works within the project Improving the water infrastructure in Central Moldova financed by the German Federal Government.
