
Cultural project for writers launched in Moldova
Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - A cultural project titled, The Writers for Capital. The Capital for Writers, was launched at the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library from Chisinau today. The project is coordinated by the Writers’ Union of Moldova (USM), in partnership with the host institution.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the USM deputy head, project manager Ivan Pilchin said the project would represent a platform for the promotion of native writers, members of the Moldovan Writers’ Union, as well as of their creative experience and artistic views.
Attending the event, USM head Teo Chiriac said that the author, editor, librarian and reader were entities who should cooperate, in order to promote the Romanian language and the quality literature.
The project is financed by the Chisinau city hall. The sum approved for the project’s carrying out is 20,000 lei. The period of the project’s implementation is May-October 2022.
