Moldovan writer, stage manager marks 75th birthday anniversary

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - Poet, stage manager and editor Vasile Capatana marks his 75th birthday anniversary today.  

Vasile Capatana was born in the Cernoleuca village, northern Donduseni district, on 6 May 1946. He graduated from the Foreign Languages Faculty the one of Theatre Art (optionally) of the Moldovan State University (USM) in 1968.

He debuted with a volume of poems in 1989. Another volumes of poems came in 1993, 2009, and a monograph in 2012.   

As editor, he launched the collections  Rânduri pentru suflet (Verses for soul) and then the collection Ideal with the series, 101 Romanian poems with 101 poems, in which over 150 volumes appeared, signed by Romanian authors from Moldova, Romania, Canada, France, Russia, etc. As stage manager, Capatana staged over 50 plays in professional and people’s theatres from Chisinau, Balti and Tiraspol. After settling in Bucharest, he created the first school of biotherapy and bio suggestion. Capatana is the first head of the Romanian foundation of biotherapy and suggestion (as of 1993).     

Vasile Capatana is member of the Moldovan Writers’ Union (1992) and member of the Writers’ Union of Romania (2009). He got the title Eminent of Culture in 1980 and more literary prizes.
