Chisinau, April 10 /MOLDPRES/- Distribution system operators and providers of the universal and last option electricity service have submitted to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) requests to adjust the tariffs and regulated prices for electricity delivered to final consumers.
Specialists within the Agency examine the applications and verify the correctness of the presented calculations in order to prepare and submit the draft decisions to the ANRE Board of Directors. The members of ANRE's Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to examine and approve electricity tariffs.
In the middle of last week, ANRE announced that there are prerequisites for reducing prices for electricity delivered to final consumers and asked suppliers to submit adjustment requests by April 7. The decision was announced after Energocom signed a new contract, for half a year, for the purchase of electricity from the Moldovan Thermal Power Plant in the Transnistrian region (MGRES), and the procurement price is $66/MWh, seven dollars less than in the last four months.
