Customs Service collected over 650 million lei to state budget last week
Chisinau, August 14 /MOLDPRES/- On August 7-13, the Customs Service collected over 651 million lei (about 32.5 million euros) to the state budget.
Private people introduced goods whose value in customs exceeds the non-taxable limit, being collected payments worth more than 31.7 million lei, which represents 4.9% of the total amount. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects.
At the same time, last week, 12,291 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport constituted 101,859 crossings. The most transited customs posts remain Leușeni and Sculeni, with 26,668 and 17,969 crossings, respectively.
In the fight against fraud, 30 violations of customs legislation were found and fines of over 83 thousand lei were applied.
Since the beginning of the current year, the Customs Service has collected about 20.4 billion lei to the state budget, 3.5% more compared to the same period last year.
