Power supply reestablished in most settlements of Moldova
Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldelectrica enterprise has informed that the supply of electric energy was reestablished in most settlements of Moldova.
According to Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Andrei Spinu, the Russian aggression against Ukraine directly hits Moldova. ‘’The risks of disconnections of electric energy supply remain high. Any bombardment of Russia against the Ukrainian power stations can lead to the repeating of the today’s situation. I urge you to further save and remain solidary,’’ Andrei Spinu said.
Today evening, in the wake of Russia’s latest bombardments against the Ukrainian energy system, one of the power lines which provides the transportation of electricity for Moldova was disconnected automatically.
This fact led to massive interruptions of electric energy supply all over Moldova. These lines were not damaged, but were automatically disconnected as safety measure, according to Deputy PM Andrei Spinu.
Russia today attacked with about 100 missiles the essential infrastructure in more Ukrainian regions, causing also interruptions of power supply, the local and regional authorities of Ukraine said.
