Truck traffic on M3 Chisinau-Giurgiulesti road to be redirected to alternative routes
Chisinau, April 28 / MOLDPRES /- In rehabilitating the M3 Chisinau-Giurgiulesti road, there was a need to temporarily divert truck traffic with a total mass of more than 8 tons from the M3 route on alternative routes, the State Road Administration (ASD) has reported.
According to the institution, the specifics of the execution of excavation works between 2 and 4 m deep in several sectors do not allow the execution of construction works in parallel with heavy traffic. "The temporary diversion of traffic was approved by the National Inspectorate of Public Security within the General Inspectorate of Police, as well as by the beneficiary of the M3 road, the State Road Administration," the quoted source said.
In this context, transport companies with routes to the Giurgiulesti Free International Port or Giurgiulesti Customs and other carriers are required to comply with the temporary restrictions applied on two sectors: M3 km 165 + 800 - 171 + 200 (between Vulcănești customs and Vulcănești town) and M3 km 179 + 650 - km 190 + 750 (M3 town Vulcănești - R32 village Slobozia Mare).
According to the traffic diversion plan, temporary signaling signs will be installed on the M3 route and on the alternative routes R34 and R32. In addition, road workers will be involved and the support of PGI patrol teams will be requested. The duration of the temporary diversion is estimated at 2.5 months, starting on April 26.
