Bilateral screening continues in Brussels

Five key chapters of Moldova's EU accession process will be analyzed in Brussels in May, including Chapter 25 – Science and Research. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov believes this area offers significant opportunities for modernizing education, research and developing innovation.

“We are analyzing 5 important chapters of our negotiation process in Brussels. One of them is Chapter 25 - Science and Research, in the field that will allow us to open new horizons for research, education, technological development, and innovation in the Republic of Moldova,” said Cristina Gherasimov.

Adriana Cazacu, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Research, underlined the importance of academic mobility and European funding:

“Implementing policies in the science and research means more mobility for researchers and access to European programs such as Horizon Europe. Greater chances for young people to get involved in research and innovation projects, encouraging technology transfer between universities, research institutes, and companies and, of course, attracting Moldovan researchers from the diaspora and facilitating their return to the country.”

Chapter 25 is one of the essential areas for the sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova, aiming at strengthening bridges between research, education, and the economy through European standards and international cooperation.
