
Moldovan President meets European Parliament Vice-President
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met today with European Parliament Vice-President Nicu Ștefănuță, who is on a visit to Chișinău. The discussions focused on the European path of the Republic of Moldova, regional security, and the integrity of democratic processes in our country.
The Head of State welcomed the recent report of the European Parliament regarding the Republic of Moldova, which recognizes the progress made in the EU accession process, and reaffirmed the commitment to continue reforms.The officials also discussed the security challenges in the region and the importance of ensuring that the upcoming parliamentary elections in the autumn are free from foreign interference.
Ștefănuță reiterated the European Parliament's support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
