Foreign policy committees of parliaments from Chișinău and Bucharest to hold joint meeting

The Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Foreign Policy Committee of the Romanian Senate will hold a joint meeting. It will take place in Bucharest on 19 November.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the parliamentarians will discuss advancing the European integration process as the Republic of Moldova fulfills its commitments, Romania's support for the European integration agenda of the Republic of Moldova, and the European Union's support for Moldova. Following the discussions, the Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Foreign Policy Committee of the Romanian Senate will sign a joint declaration.

The Moldovan parliament delegation will be led by deputy speaker Doina Gherman, head of the foreign policy committee. The delegation will also include members of the foreign policy committee Adrian Băluțel, Ion Groza, Mihail Druță, as well as head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Romania Veronica Roșca.

In Bucharest, the delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will have a meeting with the President of the Romanian Senate, Mircea Abrudean, the Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Romanian Senate, Titus Corlățean, and the Presidential Advisor for European Affairs, Valentin Naumescu.

The deputies will also visit the Chapel of the Holy Sofia Church in Bucharest to pay the last respects to Ilie Ilașcu.
