Moldovan parliament approves appointment of Liuba Sova, Nicolae Rosca as Constitutional Court judges
The parliament has approved the appointment of Liuba Sova and Nicolae Rosca as judges of the Constitutional Court. Their candidacies were supported by the parliamentary majority and criticized by the opposition, which called for the withdrawal of the decisions on appointment.
Both magistrates will continue working at the Court, being in their second term.
Liuba Sova is a jurist with a teaching career of over 20 years at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law of the Law Faculty of the State University of Moldova. Since 2019, she has served as a judge of the Constitutional Court.

According to constitutional provisions, two judges are appointed by parliament, two - by the government, and two - by the Superior Council of Magistracy.
