Over seven thousand people found jobs since beginning of year
Over seven thousand people seeking employment have been hired with the help of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) since the beginning of 2025. It is a concrete step towards a stable country with opportunities and well-paid jobs at home, said Government's spokesperson Daniel Vodă, after today's cabinet meeting.
"Behind these numbers are real people, young people at their first job, parents returning to the workforce, people who have the courage to start from scratch. For each of them, a job means more than a salary; it means dignity, security and perspective in the Republic of Moldova," said Daniel Vodă.
Out of the 7,021 people employed, 2,883 are women (41.1%), 1,230 are aged 55 and over (17.5%), 89 are individuals with disabilities, 47 are migrants who returned from abroad, and 22 are of Roma ethnicity.
The targeted individuals have been employed in various economic fields, such as collective, social, and personal services activities; agriculture; industry and trade; public administration; health, social assistance, and education; transportation, storage, and communications.
"The government is working to ensure that everyone who wants to work has this opportunity," said Daniel Vodă.
He urged citizens who are looking for a job to contact the nearest territorial subdivision of ANOFM. All services provided by the state concerning job searching are free of charge.
In 2024, ANOFM helped 16,699 people find employment, meaning that about 25% of all unemployed individuals in Moldova have been placed in jobs through territorial employment subdivisions.
